Bookings
I kindly request that bookings be made through the online form, phone, email, or text. I highly recommend making reservations well in advance, especially during peak periods such as summer and holidays.
For overnight house sitting services, a nonrefundable deposit of 50% will be charged upon booking, and the remaining balance must be settled by the first day of service. This deposit is necessary to reserve your requested dates. Once the deposit is received, I will promptly send you a confirmation of your booking, along with any additional details you may require before the service.
NEW CLIENTS: Once I receive your inquiry, please fill out the new client form promptly as it is required before the meet & greet. Bookings are confirmed after the meet & greet is complete, at which point the deposit is also due.
Meet & Greets
For new clients whom I have not pet sat for previously, all services require a meet & greet prior to the date(s) booked. This is an opportunity to meet me in person at your home or in a public place of your choosing with your animal and ensure I am a good fit for providing care. It is also important for me to get familiar with your space and processes. The first meet & greet is free of charge. If further meet & greets are required/desired by you, the charge is $25/visit.
Holiday Surcharge
During peak holidays, there is an additional fee to accommodate the increased demand and ensure top quality care. For drop-in visits and dog walks, a surcharge of +$15 applies, while for house sitting the surcharge is +$25/night. Holidays include the following dates:
President’s Weekend: Feb 14-17, 2025
Memorial Day Weekend: May 23-26, 2025
Fourth of July: Jul 3-6, 2025
Labor Day Weekend: Aug 29 - Sep 1, 2025
Thanksgiving: Nov 26-30, 2025
Christmas & New Year’s: Dec 23, 2025 - Jan 2, 2026
Payment Methods
I accept Zelle, Venmo, and cash only. If paying by cash, the deposit can be paid at the meet & greet and balance left in your home on the first day of service.
Cancellations
In the event that you need to cancel your booking, I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled visit or walk, and 7 days for overnight pet sitting. Cancellations made with shorter notice will incur the full rate charge. Please note that for my house sitting service, the reservation deposit is nonrefundable upon cancellation.
As I often have to turn away potential clients due to limited availability, I greatly appreciate your understanding and advanced notice of any cancellations. Your cooperation allows me to better accommodate all my valued clients.
Early Return
When you book my services for a specific duration, you are reserving my time, resources, and commitment to care for your pets during that entire period and I may have to decline other potential clients. In the event that you return home before the end of your scheduled pet sitting period, you will be charged for the entire duration initially booked.
Vet & Emergency Contacts
I strongly advise selecting a 24-hour veterinarian to address potential emergencies. Emergencies can occur outside of regular business hours, making it crucial to have access to veterinary care around the clock. I require updated veterinarian contact information and addresses prior to the start of the booking.
For added peace of mind, I require at least 1 emergency contact and recommend adding at least 2. In the rare event that I am unable to reach you, having these contacts ensures I can swiftly make decisions to address any situation that may arise.
New Client Form
A new client form is required for all clients regardless of service provided to record important details about your pet: breed, age, weight, veterinary contact, emergency contacts, feeding schedule, medication dosage, preferences and any medical issues that may be relevant. This form will be sent to you at the time of your first booking with me.
2 Hour Window
To ensure efficient scheduling and allow for travel times between clients, I request a 2 hour window around your preferred walk or visit time. I do my best to accommodate specific feeding or walking times but can only guarantee a 2-hour window due to my constantly shifting schedule.
Visit Frequency
For drop-in visit bookings, I require that cats be visited at least once every 24 hours, while dogs be visited at least twice a day, with no more than a 12-hour gap between visits. I cannot in good conscience offer every other day visits for cat sitting as my aim is to provide the best possible care for your furry companions.
Non-Pet Related Tasks
My primary responsibility is to provide attentive care to your pets, ensuring their comfort, wellbeing, and safety throughout the duration of my services. This includes: feeding, providing fresh water, waste pickup/litter box scooping, administering medication (if required and specified), exercising, and offering companionship and affection.
I am not responsible for undertaking any tasks unrelated to the care of your pets while I am at your home. This includes but is not limited to waiting for vendors (such as repair technicians, delivery services, etc.), supervising cleaning crews, gardeners, or any other personnel working within the premises.
If there are scheduled visits or tasks by external parties during my scheduled time, it is your responsibility to ensure that arrangements are made directly with the respective service providers. I recommend informing these parties of my presence and providing any necessary access instructions to ensure minimal disruption to my pet care duties.
Visitors
For security and transparency, I request that you inform me in advance if anyone else will be entering your house or property while you are away. This includes individuals such as family members, friends, neighbors, workers, house cleaners, and others. Your prompt notification helps me maintain a safe environment for both your pets and myself.
